From Kansas City International Airport (KCI), Missouri:
Take Interstate 29 North to Platte City, Missouri. Exit on Highway 92 West. Follow to Leavenworth, Kansas. Turn right at the second stop light after the bridge to enter the main gate (Grant Avenue) on Metropolitan Avenue and North 7th Street. Total distance is just less than 17 miles.
From Interstate 70 (East or West):
Take Exit 224 towards US-73 / KS-7 / Bonner Springs / Leavenworth. Turn RIGHT (North) onto US-73 / KS-7. Drive through Lansing (Main Street) and Leavenworth (4th Street). Turn left onto Metropolitan Avenue (KS-92 / 7) and proceed to North 7th Street. Turn right to enter main gate (Grant Avenue) of Fort Leavenworth.

Do not be intimidated by the security checkpoint. The security measures are to keep all of us safe!
As you approach the security check, please have current license, registration and proof of insurance available. All passengers older than 16 need a government identification card such as a driver’s license, passport or military ID. Expired paperwork can keep you from entering. When you reach the security officers, they will give you further instructions. These may include you exiting your vehicle and the officers conducting a vehicle search.
All occupants must wear seat belts. Kids that are younger than 5, or that weigh less than 45 pounds, must be in a car seat.
Hancock (West):
NO visitor or commercial traffic. DoD and CAC ID card personnel only.
6:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. Monday - Friday for inbound and outbound.
3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Monday - Friday outbound only.
